Well I thought it was about time for me to show you guys a couple of the games I'm really looking forward to this year. I think for the most part, these games are no surprise when it comes to me. Let's hope 2011 brings around some good stuff and...let's hope Sega starts making some quality titles (even though we all know thats most likely not going to happen).
5.) Little Big Planet 2 | Media Molecule / SCEA | PS3 | Jan. 18, 2011
Little Big Planet was one of the best games I've ever played. It had four player platform co-op, which for PS3 is like trying to find a kid that actually plays Pokemon without using action replay (LOL). The different types of player creations in game were amazing and pretty much endless. From Initial D to Naruto, you will find anything you like in LBP. In a couple of weeks, you'll get to enjoy LBP2. If you for some reason didn't play the first little big planet, do yourself a favor and pick this up.
P.S: Sackgirl is up in the house now so your girl DOES NOT have an excuse not to play with yo ass. ;3
4.) Mortal Kombat | Netherrealm / Warner Brothers | Xbox 360 / PS3 | April 19, 2011
Unlike most of my fellow Co-Workers at GlitchyTasty, I am not one who grew up liking Mortal Kombat. As a kid I looked at the game past the fatalities, and noticed ONE major flaw in the series. THE GAME WAS BROKEN AS ALL HELL. SWEEP KICK UPPERCUT SWEEP KICK UPPERCUT FINISH HIM *presses all the buttons like its going to do anything*.
The good thing about the new 2011 Mortal Kombat is that everything seems to work well from what I've seen, AND WHATS THIS? ....COMBOS THAT DON'T STOP MIDWAY!?. I think the only problem I have is no Liu Kang (so far)... you know, the main character from the first game? O-o? The plus side is that the rest of the Earthrealm fighters are back so that makes me happy. I look forward to playing this game with my Co-Worker Ryan because honestly.... I whoop him in all the other fighters. I kinda suck at Mortal Kombat so he has a chance!
3.) Marvel Versus Capcom 3 | Capcom | Xbox 360 / PS3 | Feb. 15, 2011
I'm going to keep this short because when it comes to Capcom, I could talk for hours about each character. I think this is a game that most people are looking forward to in the coming months. One of the things I'm really looking forward to is the dialog between characters this time around. This is something that's missing from the previous games. I think the only time you actually got some type of Dialog was from beating the game with the characters (Not in MvC2). There's been a lot of talk about Mega Man not being in the game. I personally want one of the other robots like Crashman, Cutman, or Airman to make the cut in all honesty, but I'm sure they will take the lazy way out and just put roll in it because they already have a model from Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Either way, thats enough talk about this beast of a game. If you want to talk about anything Capcom-related, you know where to find me.
2.) Street Fighter X Tekken | Capcom | Xbox 360 / PS3 | TBA 2011
When I first heard about this game I almost fainted. This was one game that no one saw coming at all because both of these fighters are different in their own way. If Capcom was to make it then it would cater to the Street Fighter Fans, and if Namco was to make it then vice versa, but in the end it really didnt matter because they said they were making two versions...Really? Thats pretty awesome if you ask me. Devil Jin vs Evil Ryu? Might just happen. One of the major things I love about the VS games is the artwork. The example I always use is the end credits of marvel vs capcom 2, one of the art pieces shown is Sakura and Spiderman taking a picture together, always thought that was amazing. Anyways, there hasn't been an official date for this game to come out but I have a feeling it will be near the end of 2011.
1.) Metal Gear Solid Rising | Kojima Prod. / Konami | Xbox 360 / PS3 | TBA 2011-2012
I really dont think they are words that can describe how much I love the Metal Gear series. When I first played Metal Gear Solid, I could not get myself to stop playing the game, I had never played anything like it before. You had to stay stealth without getting caught or you were fucked and had to hide in the locker or the lovely box. I'm really excited to play Rising because you get to find out what happened to Raiden between Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4. Other then that I dont really know what to expect from this game, all I know is that I'm going to enjoy every second of it when it comes out. There are alot of rumors out there saying this game is coming out in 2012, but honestly I think it will be released late this year. Lets hope we get some good news for a release date at E3!
So yeah, that's my top 5 for this year. Want to talk to me about the games I picked? Head over to the forums or contact me on Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter.
