Why Does Poison Get So Much love?

Since the release of the first trailer for the now-canceled game Capcom Fighting All-Stars, Poison has been one of those characters that Capcom fighting fans have been pretty much begging to have put in a fighting game since.
But why?
Now if your unfamiliar with who Poison is, she's one of the female thugs of the Mad Gear Gang (The main antagonist group in the Final Fight series). After Mad Gear was taken down by Haggar, Cody, and friends, she then teamed up with Hugo (Also from Final Fight), where she acts as his manager of sorts. Another note to add about Poison is that "she" might actually be a "he". Yup, Poison is a cross-dresser. SUPRISE!
With Street Fighter X Tekken, Poison was finally announced as a playable character along side her buddy/wrestler Hugo. As the weeks pased, I started to notice that many people were still extremely infatuated with Poison; in fact, many people on various fighting game sites like Shoryuken.com said they were going to main with her, though nothing is wrong with that at all.
Now back to the main question. Why do you (the people) like Poison? Why do people love her over other Final Fight characters such as Sodom (Katana) or Maki? Lets not forget, she was a commonly appearing thug in the Final Fight games much like Y. Signal appeared frequently in the Streets of Rage series. Do you like her because she's a sexy character? Do you like her cause she's a cross-dresser?
Is it because of the sexy hat?
To let you guys know, I like Poison because of the manager role she has with Hugo. I’m a huge wrestling fan so things like that really appeal to me. That being said, I don’t think shes done enough for me to say I like her more then characters such as Maki, Elena, or Sodom, but its cool.

i never thought twice about her/him to be honest. I did love that Sodom (katana) started to become a chracter cuz he SUCKED in Final Fight. Kicked my ass tons of times.
I want Remy back since I was good with him (but sucked with Guilde, go figure).
