Once the acquisition is complete, Microsoft will bring the VOIP and chat app to Xbox Live with Kinect support, as well as other Microsoft devices. Apple just wrapped up their iPad 2 event, and what they announced is very exciting. First of all, they've redesigned the iPad to be thinner and lighter. It now features front and rear cameras for Facetime and HD video recording. Just like before, there is both a WiFi-only model and a WiFi + 3G model, but what is new is that the WiFi + 3G is availible for both AT&T and Verizon. Another big feature is the addition of mirrored video out through an HDMI adapter that works with all Apps (read; games), and supports full 1080P.

Apple's iOS devices have been getting a lot of attention lately from some big names in gaming. Late last year, there was a lot of anticipation as id Software released Mutant Bash TV and Epic Games released Infinity Blade. While both of these games looked great, Mutant Bash TV reminded us that it still comes down to the gameplay. Regardless, it still seemed like the iOS was missing one major element: Story.

It seems like EA Mobile, a long time player in the App store, was preparing to fill that spot with Dead Space for the iOS. Did they pull it off? Or, do the user's of Apple's iOS have to continue to wait for a true console-class game?

Any Android user can tell you that one of the pros (and cons) of their mobile OS of choice is the freedom of what apps are available. From simple gadgets to useless and potentially harmful applications, the Android Marketplace has pretty much seen it all. It's nothing new. Even emulators for older consoles are established items for purchase.

This is probably why I'm so disappointed in the "professional" reaction that this video got.

As many know, Sony has taken aim at the iOS in one of its "Marcus" PSP ads. In the ad they use the name Lame Castle to poke fun at the iOS's game market. Well, the indie developer Be-Rad Entertainment turned the joke on them when they released Lame Castle as an iOS and Android game. Jayce Diaz, Glitchy Tasty's Managing Editor recently had an interview with Brad Johnson, creator of Lame Castle and Be-Rad Entertainment to talk about how the game came to be, his take on mobile development and what's next for Lame Castle and B-rad Entertainment. Hint: Lame Castle Free should hit the App Store tomorrow.

There has been a lot of mobile news lately, with Infinity Blade's update, Unreal Engine 3 support, and Gameloft releasing both N.O.V.A. 2 and Shadow Guardian (iTunes links). EA didn't want to feel left out, so they put pretty much every App they have on sale for $.99 each! That's fricken' nuts!

I'm not just talking about the little apps that you already forgot about, but the big ones too, like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Battlefield Bad Company 2. So far, the only one I haven't noticed is Rock band Reloaded (which sucks because I want it). Below is a full list of what's on sale, thanks to the people at Touch Arcade.
