The other day I posted a story about Epic's "Project Sword" for iOS getting renamed to Infinity Blade. Well now, Epic Games and Chair Entertainment have released a Debut trailer on GameTrailers to go along with the rename. Read the full story for more details and the trailer.
Back in September, Epic Games and Chair Entertainment showed a glimpse of the future of iOS games with their RPG, code named "Project Sword". Just yesterday Chair Entertainment released a few more details about this amazing looking iPhone title.
Sega has saw fit to celebrate Halloween by reducing the price of completely Halloween-less titles available in the App Store. For just under a buck, you could get yourself some Streets of Rage, or for 7 doll hairs you can snatch up some sonic 4. The complete list is as follows:
Talk about drama. Yesterday, images of the fabled "Playstation Phone" swept the web. While Engadget seems to believe what they have is legit, there are more than a few of us (myself included) who remain skeptical. In short; the device was plain, ugly, noticeably dirty, and noticeably edited. I get that it's a prototype, but it just doesn't look like a Sony device, let alone a prototype (which wouldn't be so used-looking). I've included a gallery below.
I'm really enjoying this sudden burst of Back to the Future news from Telltale Games. I'm a huge Back to the Future fan and now we finally know when we can play the next part of the Back to the Future saga.
1UP.com is reporting that Telltale will release Episode 1 of their upcoming Back to the Future game for PC and Mac in December, and will then follow to the Apple iPad and PlayStation 3 shortly after.
(Update) GameTrailers has now posted Part Two of the Behind the Scene Series.
GameTrailers.com has an exclusive behind the scenes look at Telltale Games' amazingly awesome looking Back to the Future game. The video devulges some new information on the series. For starters, Christopher Lloyd is back as Doc Brown, which means I'm already sold. I couldn't imaging anyone else being Doc. No word yet it Michel J. Fox will be playing Marty though, keeping my fingers Crossed.
They don't give much detail about the story, except that it takes place six months after the third movie (Six months for Marty McFly, who knows how long for Doc Brown), where Marty has to rescure Doc Brown who is stuck in the past (or future). I'm not going to tell you everything, you are just gonna have to click "read more" to watch part 1 and 2.
Around a month ago, Gameloft announced N.O.V.A 2 (Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance), the sequel to the popular iOS first person shooter. At the time of the announcement there wasn't many details, but today Gameloft released a teaser trailer that is full of excitement, and it looks like the story will pick up where it last left off.
Microsoft has announced that between Kinect and Windows Phone 7, the software giant is looking to spend about 1 billion doll hairs in marketing. Holy pancakes, that is a lot of money.
As VG247 rerports, the figure is divided nearly evenly between the two products. The hype train started around 18 months ago, and will continue it's forward momentum (at least for Kinect) with primetime TV ads, a Youtube ad takeover, a friggin Times Square outdoor event, and most importantly, Nickelodeon advertisements. NOT THE CHILDREN!
As if the Back to the Future Trilogy on Blu-ray wasn't awesome enough, it's going to include a redemption code to download the first episode of Telltale's upcoming game based on the series for FREE.
According to Joystiq, the redeem code itself is simply...wait for it..."121GIGAWATTS" which as they point out may means the code is not unique and the game may just be free in general. Telltale Games did not comment to Joystiq if this was the case or when the case is going to be released.
Even if the game is free and the code is useless, then worst case scenario is that you still just bought your self an HD copy of one of the best trilogies ever made (I said one of the best, LOTR and Star Wars fans hold your horses).
Windows Phone 7 has been gaining some serious steam these last couple of days, and now EA has joined in the fray. In a recent press release, EA Mobile has announced that four titles will be available at launch, complete with Live support and achievements.
The games Need for Speed: Undercover, Tetris, the Sims 3, and Monopoly will all be ready to go come November. I know, I know, your mobile mouths are watering at the sound of playing Mono-poly (two disease names in one!) on a phone.
I wonder how long it'll be until real games come out on WP7... Now that I think of it, I wonder the same thing about the Android.
SO I booted up GTA IV on PC today... and totally forgot I modified the friction values for several things. Fun times were had by all (except by the pedestrians).
