Hey. guys and gals, I'm Jayce Diaz, site co-creator and managing editor.

As you've probably noticed, glitchytasty.com has been less active over the last two months or so. The truth is, A LOT of changes are happening both with the site and in the personal lives of the staff. We thank you for your patience, and feel you deserve to know what's going on.

The long and short of it: I am stepping down as managing editor, and will no longer write any reviews/previews for the site. But fret not! There is great news stemming from this!

Is Snake trying to avoid us? Recently a "playable" version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the Nintendo 3DS showed up at E3. However, reports from 1up.com have said that it was not up to par with what a Kojima game should be. This is most likely the reason behind Konami's recent announcement of pushing the remake back until 2012. Unfortunately, there is no specific date for release yet.

One can take this in the positive light though. Konami did not say anything else about the port. It will definitely allow for more development time to perfect the port and perhaps some more extras for the fans! Granted it there still needs to be more 3DS system sales, so Konami could be using this as a more time for the system to sell before they release the game. That and hopefully Starfox 3DS will hold us over until we have more information.

I'll be honest here; though I enjoyed a few of the titles, I never really was a Mega Man fan. In fact, some of my fondest memories with the character include the strangely educational anime that was released back in the early 90's or so. Mega Man helped me learn all sorts of things about Tokyo, and that he only eats pellets. Strange digestive system, that is.

Anyway, it is my sad duty to relay that Mega Man Legends 3 is officially dead. Capcom made the announcement late last night on the Capcom-Unity site, breaking more than a few Glitchy Tasty hearts in the process. Joking aside, I was looking forward to checking it out at the very least, and I'm pretty bummed that the 3DS now has even less to look forward to.

This marks the second Mega Man title to get the axe in the last year (Megaman Universe being the first one), and even Marvel Versus Capcom 3 did away with the blue bomber when it came down to roster selection. What the hell is happening with Mega Man?

If there's one fond memory I'll always have with Halo 3's campaign, it's the incredible feeling of collecting the various skulls (and their interesting game alterations) hidden throughout the game. "Grunt Birthday Party" is by far the best thing ever to do anything with any amount of anything ever, especially involving children and confetti. Seriously, guys.

So imagine my excitement, if you will, to see vg247 outline some of the pre-order incentives for Halo CE: Anniversary. In addition to some avatar items that will let you don the Master Chief gear, pre-ordering the game will also net you access to the "Giant Funeral Skull", which involves grunts and is "explosively humorous".

Want.

According to high level sources at Crytek, Microsoft will be announcing the successor to the Xbox 360 sometime within the next 12 months, though most likely at E3 2012. The new system, which they say is far from the final specs, is designed around DirectX 11, the awesome tech that brought us Epic's Unreal Someritan demo back at GDC. Why did someone at Crytek leak this info? Well, that's the best part (for the Glitchy Tasty crew anyways)! Crytek is hard at work on TimeSplitters 4, which is set to be a flagship launch title for the next Xbox.

E3 has been a crazy, wild week. We got to see highly anticipated titles like Bioshock Infinite, along with pleasant surprises like Halo Anniversary and Aliens: Colonial Marines. But what titles were we most impressed with?

We went into E3 2011 is a slightly different approach than other sites. Instead of going with bland terms like "Best of Show" or "Best Call of Duty game", we decided to use the ever-popular theme of high school superlatives. Yep.

EA's Q&A session for NHL 12 at E3 2011 really got me thinking about the game, and if it'll be more fun than NHL 11. Well, they said it is, and I sure do hope so. Last year's game was a bit stiff and felt kinda like Madden on ice.

They say they're addressing this problem in this year's game.

Hitman: Absolution is finally on its way! Being a huge fan of the series (especially Blood Money), I have been waiting for this for a long time. Granted, we still only have a cinematic trailer and no gameplay shown. But if this is any indication, Agent 47 is definitely going to be video game history's greatest assassin again.

I can only hope the levels are full of numerous ways to beat them like the last game, and that the game is graphically superior as well. Just give me a fibre wire and sedatives/poisons and I am all set to destroy my targets without making a sound. Enjoy the E3 2011 trailer for Hitman: Absolution!

At Nintendo's press conference, Nintendo revealed a release date from Starfox 64 3D. The game seems to be going for a September release. Along with the release date, they revealed a little bit about the multiplayer. The 4 player deathmatch that was original with Starfox 64 is back, but this time your face will be in the game! While you fly around and try to kill each other, the 3DS camera will be tracking your face as you get shot down or are the one doing the murdering. It's a pretty funny feature. Be sure to check GlitchyTasty.com throughout the summer to hear more about this title.

luigimansion2

At Nintendo's press conference, Luigi's Mansion 2 was revealed for the Nintendo 3DS. Reggie told everyone that this game was in no way just a port of the Gamecube version. This time, Luigi will have to go through multiple mansions instead of one. From what it seems, his vacuum is back along with the weird colored ghosts that aren't Boos. We will let you know more about this game in the coming months. Be sure to check back here for more news on this title.
