If you're like me, then you've been looking forward to Dead Space 2 with both anticipation and a little bit of uneasiness. Why? Because the first Dead Space was such a great horror game, with some truly horrifing moments. Dead Space 2 on the other hand looks a little more action oriented than horror, despite EA's promises that it will be just as scary, if not scarier than the first.
Well fortunately for us doubters, EA and Visceral Games will be releasing a demo for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on December 21st. This way, we can see for ourselves if the horror truly lives up to it's predicesior.
According to EA's press release, the demo will take place in the Church of Unitology on the Sprawl, where you play as series protagonist Isaac Clark. You must fight off the Necromorphs using some of Dead Space 2's new toys, including;
"new Javelin gun, updated stasis recharge mechanic and enhanced telekinesis ability. Players will also experience the advanced suit, equipped with jets that will allow Isaac full 3600 [sic] control in Zero-G space."
Zero-G Space with 3,600 control? Sign me up! As long as it's scary.
