Since the release of the first trailer for the now-canceled game Capcom Fighting All-Stars, Poison has been one of those characters that Capcom fighting fans have been pretty much begging to have put in a fighting game since.

But why?

I'll be honest here; though I enjoyed a few of the titles, I never really was a Mega Man fan. In fact, some of my fondest memories with the character include the strangely educational anime that was released back in the early 90's or so. Mega Man helped me learn all sorts of things about Tokyo, and that he only eats pellets. Strange digestive system, that is.

Anyway, it is my sad duty to relay that Mega Man Legends 3 is officially dead. Capcom made the announcement late last night on the Capcom-Unity site, breaking more than a few Glitchy Tasty hearts in the process. Joking aside, I was looking forward to checking it out at the very least, and I'm pretty bummed that the 3DS now has even less to look forward to.

This marks the second Mega Man title to get the axe in the last year (Megaman Universe being the first one), and even Marvel Versus Capcom 3 did away with the blue bomber when it came down to roster selection. What the hell is happening with Mega Man?

A message from Capcom (Capcom-Unity)

Hot off the presses today is an official trailer from capcom showing off the latest footage and character reveals for Street Fighter X Tekken, the first half in a crossover series that pits Tekken characters against Capcom's finest in a 2.5D fighting game. While we already knew the inclusion of Ryu, Kazuya, Nina, and Chun-Li, it's cool to see characters like Abel and Marduk join the fray. There's still plenty of time before the game launches, so expect to see more character reveals as we get closer to E3.

Resident Evil 2 is hailed by many as the best game in the series. Nearly everything about the game has become iconic, from the environments and characters, to the musical score that accompanies them. It's a shame Capcom hasn't done a thing with this title, yet seems to enjoy putting out what appears to be yearly ports of Resident Evil 4. However, the most dedicated of fans will get what they desire, even if it means making it themselves.

There has been a lot of buzz, both good and bad, about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. However, with only details and crappy magazine scans to go on, its been hard to judge. Well, that all changes now. Today, Capcom released a new debut trailer for the team based shooter set in the doomed city. Be warned, the trailer shows more title than anything else. But keep an eye out for some flashes of gameplay that show some interesting stuff. Also, a certain appearance of a specific character at the end just makes you wish they'd just remake Resident Evil 2 already. Hit the break to watch the trailer.

Here's some more Resident Evil news to start off your week. Capcom today confirmed via a press release that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is indeed a thing that is happening. The press release gives us some details of the upcoming title, but it's mostly what we already know from last weeks leak. (Read it all here: More Details Emerge On The Multiplayer Resident Evil Game) However, Capcom does give a time frame for the games release, which is simply this winter and that it will be available on PC as well as PS3, and Xbox 360.

Capcom does go on to give us some other exciting news. The upcoming Resident Evil Mercenaries title for the 3DS will include a demo of Resident Evil: Revelations which promises a return to the series horror roots. Capcom also states that we can look forward to more details about Revelations at E3 this june.

Capcom hates fans of the older Resident Evil. That's all I can take from this incredibly large leak of information that sheds light on the still-not-official Resident Evil title from Slant Six (PSP SOCOM games) and Capcom.

[UPDATE: I've added the official press release below the original article]

Along with Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Code Veronica stands as one of the best games in survival horror from generations past. And if this rumor holds any weight, we may end up experiencing the sheer joy of Alfred Ashford once more. Also, Resident Evil 4.

Sorry, I'm just not a fan of that one. But Code Veronica... Yay! Read on to hear all about the hub bub.
